We spend most of our time at work. Sitting at a desk, for the majority of people.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

We pay attention to the decoration of our living room; we want to feel good at home\u2014or at least more and more so. But what about the office? You might say it doesn\u2019t always depend on you.<\/span><\/p>\n

There is a close link between the workspace, its impact on the occupant, and productivity\u2014both positively and negatively. A person who is satisfied with the physical and aesthetic comfort of their work environment is in better conditions and therefore more inclined to deliver quality work, with results that benefit both their personal well-being and their performance within the company.<\/span><\/p>\n

But our societies are evolving, and so is the way we work.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Our professional landscape is changing, just like our pace and habits. Offices are taking on new forms; they adapt, and so must we, as space creators, adapt to these changes.<\/span><\/p>\n

Open spaces are being reinvented. We alternate between private offices, shared desks, and collaborative areas. We need connection, yet we also need personal space. Everyone must find their balance in order to create a truly collaborative atmosphere that fosters creativity and productivity, while promoting well-being and communication.<\/span><\/p>\n

Workspaces are increasingly incorporating greenery to improve the health and productivity of their occupants: rooftop terraces, entrance halls, green walls, indoor garden areas…<\/span> (an article on biophilia and its benefits is coming soon!<\/em><\/p>\n

At home, it\u2019s a different story. Remote work has become common practice; many people have grown to enjoy it\u2014it has now become a choice. But while this shift is positive for some, others still struggle to introduce the concept of work into their private space.<\/span><\/p>\n

Due to lack of space or ideas, we end up occupying the kitchen table. We neglect our comfort, get carried away by daily routines, and forget that we spend the majority of our time in a space that fundamentally does not suit us.<\/span><\/p>\n

I want to sound the alarm! You cannot imagine the impact that neglecting your environment can have on your physical and mental health\u2014and on your life in general.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ask yourself the right questions: Is my workspace clearly separated from my private living space? Is there enough light? Is my chair comfortable? Do I feel like sitting at my desk in the morning? Is it visually appealing to me?<\/span><\/p>\n

It doesn\u2019t matter whether you live in a studio, an apartment, with roommates, or even if you have a dedicated office room that you dislike using.<\/span><\/p>\n

Start by doing a well-being assessment. If you struggle to take action, ask for feedback from those around you, or opt for a phone consultation or a well-being diagnosis with a professional to help initiate change, provide ideas, and give you momentum.<\/span><\/p>\n
