Philosophy
Holistic
A word that perfectly defines the creative studio Ve Atelier, founded in 2019 by Victoria Delgeniesse, a Belgian interior architect of Sicilian origin.
Blending architecture, interior, scenography, design, well-being at home, but also writing, communication, and graphic design—fields in which I have been immersed, directly or indirectly, since childhood in the ink- and paper-filled corridors of my parents’ printing house and throughout my studies.
After earning a Master’s degree in Visual and Spatial Arts at the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Visuels de La Cambre in Brussels, Ve Atelier was born: a creative studio blending Arts & Decoration, an Art of Living with Mediterranean influences. Spontaneity. Instinct.
Whether it is for a place or a product, it is always a story of feelings, emotions, intuitions, energies, coincidences, and inspiration—to create universes that are always different, yet carry that subtle something that makes a place unique, that makes an object quickly feel familiar, that makes a line appear just and sensitive. I like to speak of “holistic design” and/or “mindful design.” My vision of interior architecture is a comprehensive one, taking the individual into account in all their dimensions, 360 degrees. Not only aesthetically, but also psychologically, emotionally, socially, and spiritually.
If you would like to learn more about holistic and mindful design, I invite you to visit my “journal,” where I share my knowledge on the subject.
My strong critical sense and the references I have gathered personally and through my projects resonate and echo—connections are formed and ideas gradually take shape. Inspiration also comes from letting go, from chance; when nothing comes anymore? Wait.
I love creating living, authentic, and warm spaces that echo my roots and the Italian sun, while paying special attention to the place itself—its history and its materials.
Through discussions and exchanges, ideas evolve, develop, and a common thread begins to weave itself. Designing spaces, imagining atmospheres, means creating worlds—worlds that will then be inhabited by people; worlds that will be lived in, appreciated, and often experienced in ways quite different from how we initially “decided” they would be.

Nothing is fixed; everything is constantly being redrawn and is in continuous change. I place great importance on “working with what is.” Composing with the present, with what already exists, to create living spaces, to design images and concepts that will evolve over time. I like to speak of undetermined spaces…
Spaces never truly designed because they are never truly fixed—spaces simply alive and belonging to the moment and to the people who will pass through them.
